I trust the Lord who made women specifically for this role; I feel truly that God designed me to be a doula ❤️

My doula journey began in 2013 during my senior year of high school. I discovered doula work and knew I had found my dream. I began doula work in college while attending the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida! Go Gators!!! This is a decade plus of birth work all started in the swamp. I earned my Bachelors degree in Special Education and my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. Your doula knows not only that every child is uniquely deigned by God but every family. If we want to change the world- it all starts there. All these years and countless births later, I still adore this work and am in love with the power of birth.

As a doula, my goal is to support and educate you so you can reach your birth goals. You are making your own choices; doulas are for all births! Doulas give you the empowerment of education and then support you in those choices. Regardless of how you choose to birth, I support you physically, emotionally and spiritually once you make that decision. I serve any and all families no matter their religion, race, income level or orientation. My personal beliefs do not come into your birthing space unless this is something we have previously discussed. This is your birth. I'm simply there to help you run it smoothly.

 

My dream for you is that you view birth as a life changing experience that you felt confident and prepared for while being treated and supported fully in the way that’s best for you. You'll be meeting your baby; yes but you'll also be meeting a new version of you. This new version deserves to be held the same!

This has never just been a job for me; it has always been a calling of service, to help women find and harness their inner strength; you had the power all along!
